Dr. Susan Vasko at the Ruberg Symposium
At CAPS, we strive to be the best in plastic surgery near and far. That’s why we believe in the importance of continuing medical education (CME). Our doctors try to give back and teach in the Columbus community. Recently, Dr. Vasko had the opportunity to present at OSU’s fifth annual Ruberg Symposium.
The symposium is part of OSU Center for Continuing Medical Education, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). Doctors are required to continue their learning throughout their career in order to stay up-to-date in a measurable way. It’s an honor to speak at these and help spread even just a few of our insights on plastic surgery to professionals from around Columbus and beyond.
Dr. Vasko’s presentation was on “Autologous Fat Breast Augmentation”. This type of procedure uses fat from the patient’s own body and re-injects it elsewhere. In this case, the breasts. There are typically fewer complications in this type of procedure than others since all of the fat transferred is from the patient’s own body. There are almost no cases of allergic reaction and a high graft acceptance rate, given that all implants are from the same body.
We’re proud to have respected and talented surgeons in our office, and Dr. Vasko’s presentation at the symposium is just another example of why Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery is top of the line. If we can teach other plastic surgeons a thing or two, we can answer your questions too! Contact us for a consultation to learn more about our work.
