Cheek & Chin Implants in Columbus, Ohio
Facial implants are used to improve and enhance facial contours. They are used, for example, to reshape a "weak chin" or to "strengthen" cheekbones. Sometimes grafts or implants are also used in nasal surgery (rhinoplasty) to improve, contour or strengthen the nose. Many different materials are available for implantation, and your surgeon can determine which is best for your situation.
Making an appointment with your surgeon at Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery can help you decide if facial implants may be right for you. Click here to request a consultation or call 614-246-6900 today.
Chin Implants
Chin implant surgery is used to augment a weak chin. The purpose is to bring it into balance with other facial features. The small incision to insert the implant is placed inside the mouth or in the skin just under the chin area. The scar resulting from this incision is usually not noticeable. Normal activity can be resumed within a week after this procedure.
Cheek Implants
Cheek implant surgery produces a stronger profile and more pronounced cheeks. The implant is inserted through an incision made either inside the upper lip or the lower eyelid. If this procedure is performed in combination with another face procedure the implant can be inserted through any of the other incisions. Normal activity can usually be resumed in 2-3 days.
If you are unhappy with your facial structure — whether you feel you lack today's coveted cheekbones or a strong enough chin — facial implants can be a relatively simple way to get the look you've always wanted. Call us at 614-246-6900 to find out more.
