BOTOX® Event in Columbus to Benefit Cancer Research
A local plastic surgery practice is offering discounts on a wide range of injectable treatments such as JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel and BOTOX® Cosmetic for Columbus residents, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Columbus, Ohio (April 2, 2008) — On Saturday, May 10th, 2008, Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery, Inc. will hold a "BOTOX Day for a Cure" event to benefit cancer research. Scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the practice's Upper Arlington office, the event offers discounts for BOTOX Cosmetic and the injectable fillers JUVÉDERM, Restylane®, and Perlane® for new and existing patients. A portion of the day's proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the prominent national foundation dedicated to raising awareness and finding a cure for breast cancer.
"We're very pleased at the opportunity to raise awareness and support for this very important cause," comments Dr. Timothy Treece, co-founder of the practice. "At our practice, we commit ourselves to helping change lives, and for us, donating our time and skills to causes like this is an important facet of what we do."
Held at 4971 Arlington Centre Blvd., the event will also provide patients free aesthetician consultations on the most effective skin care products and treatments for their individual needs.
The plastic surgeons at Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery support breast cancer research as part of a medical team that serves breast cancer survivors. They perform a significant amount of breast reconstruction surgery and frequently sponsor events such as this to contribute to the national efforts to work toward a cure.
"Donating a portion of the 'BOTOX Day for a Cure' event proceeds to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation allows Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery, Inc. and their patients to be a part of the fight," explains Dr. Susan D. Vasko, who co-founded the practice with Dr. Treece over 10 years ago.
"If patients have any questions at the event in Columbus, Ohio, our BOTOX representatives and certified registered nurses will be assisting us to answer any questions or concerns patients have," notes Dr. Timothy Heck.
BOTOX, one of the most researched medical innovations, has been used effectively for over 17 years to treat a variety of conditions including moderate to severe frown lines on the face. BOTOX Cosmetic has become the most popular physician-administered cosmetic treatment in the United States.
"This event offers a great opportunity for both women and men to participate in the fight against breast cancer," comments Dr. John Wakelin. "We encourage them to make an appointment to help contribute to this very important effort."
Dr. Treece and Dr. Vasko are board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Drs. Robert T. Heck and John K. Wakelin, also certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, are part of the award-winning Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery team, offering reconstructive and plastic surgery to Columbus-area residents along with BOTOX Cosmetic and other treatments.
