CAPS Wellness Center offers a progressive, science-based approach to health and wellness. By incorporating functional and integrative medicine practices, we strive to search for the root cause of symptoms. We will work with you to support the normal healing mechanisms of the body to restore balance using lifestyle, nutrition, and hormone optimization.
Our day to day life choices provide the foundation for our health and wellness. Without proper sleep, stress management, movement, and social connections we cannot function at our best. We will spend time exploring your current lifestyle habits and work with you to make sustainable changes that will allow you to feel your best.
Hormones are the messengers that keep all of our body systems connected. When even one hormone is out of balance, others tend to follow suit.
Hormones are the messengers that keep all of our body systems connected. When even one hormone is out of balance, others tend to follow suit. At CAPS Wellness Center, our providers will focus on ensuring all of your hormones, including adrenal hormones, insulin, thyroid, and sex hormones are at optimal levels. We always start with lifestyle and nutrition, but if hormone replacement is needed, we will customize a plan using only bioidentical hormones and the delivery mechanism that is best suited for you.hide
nutrition and gut health
Food and water nourish and protect us. The food we eat provides directions to every cell in our body, either encouraging optimal function or directing disease progression.
Food and water nourish and protect us. The food we eat provides directions to every cell in our body, either encouraging optimal function or directing disease progression. Too much of the wrong kinds of food can inflame and exhaust us, but, we can make a difference with increased awareness and small changes in the choices we make each day. Optimal gut health is essential to nutrient absorption, immune regulation, detoxification, and overall wellness. A primary focus on nutrition provides the foundation for gut health, and we will work to optimize your gut microbiome and overall function in order to impact mood, energy, appetite, and hormone balance as needed.hide

After reviewing your health history, lab work, and wellness goals we will formulate a hormone replacement plan that is unique to your body’s needs. We use only bioidentical hormones at CAPS Wellness Center. Bioidentical hormones have the same chemical structure as those produced by the body, making them easily recognized and utilized without the unwanted side effects that can sometimes occur with synthetic hormones. We will regularly monitor your hormone levels along with your symptoms to ensure optimal results.
Bioidentical hormone pellet therapy is a unique hormone replacement method that delivers small, consistent doses of hormones over time, thus avoiding fluctuations in levels and symptoms. During a brief in-office procedure, tiny pellets are inserted under the skin in the upper buttock area. The incision is so small it can be closed with a bandage. The pellets then slowly release the hormones over three to six months.
We know that gut health is critical to overall health and wellness. The gastrointestinal tract is covered by trillions of microbes including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Your unique makeup affects your entire body. Beneficial bacteria in the gut synthesize vitamins, help with digestion, balance mood, and protect against infections, obesity, and various diseases. Harmful bacteria and other microorganisms can cause not only gastrointestinal symptoms like bloating and acid reflux, but also headaches, skin issues, and many more symptoms.
Scientific advances over the past decade now allow us to accurately assess your gastrointestinal microbiome as well as intestinal health, digestive function, and immune markers. Knowing exactly how much of an organism is present, in combination with the other markers, gives us important information to treat and correct imbalances. Optimizing your gut health is an important part of finding solutions to a variety of chronic symptoms and illnesses.
The GI-MAP test uses advanced DNA technology to assess:
- Levels of healthy bacteria
- Pathogenic bacteria
And advanced metabolic testing for:
- Immune function
- Digestion and absorption
