Plasma IQ

This minimally invasive treatment can tighten the skin around your eyes, lips, neck, and décolletage for a more youthful-looking you.

How Does Plasma IQ Work?

If you are done looking tired due to sagging upper or lower eyelids, then Plasma IQ™ may be the answer. Plasma IQ is used as an eyelid enhancement by tightening the skin around the eyes, effectively reducing the signs of aging. It can also reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, scarring, and can even treat benign skin conditions such as acne, warts, skin tags, and moles.

By using focused, controlled energy, the Plasma IQ pen is able to treat small, delicate areas of the skin, such as the skin around the eyes, lips, neck, and décolletage. Energy is delivered to the skin’s surface layer and then penetrates to the deeper dermal layer, which contains the cells that produce collagen and elastin. These cells are collectively called "fibroblasts."

A Plasma IQ treatment delivers skin tightening in the treated area almost immediately. You'll see results right away, and they will continue to improve over time as the fibroblasts do their magic by healing and improving the skin surfaces.

Frequently asked questions

Plasma IQ

How long does plasma IQ last?

Patients who undergo treatment with Plasma IQ can expect to enjoy their results for up to one to three years. Then, maintenance treatments may be needed to continue enjoying the results.

How many Plasma IQ treatments will I need?

While most people see immediate results from their treatment, you may need more than one treatment depending on your aesthetic goals. Our specialists will determine the number of treatments needed based on your unique skin concerns.

Is there any downtime associated with a Plasma IQ treatment?

Most patients should expect about a week of social downtime to allow the skin to heal. The most common side effects are swelling, tenderness, scabbing, and redness. Our specialists will review side effects and the best treatment for those side effects so you will have no surprises.

What happens during a Plasma IQ procedure?

Before beginning the treatment, our specialists apply a numbing agent to your skin to ensure you are comfortable during the procedure. Once the numbing has taken effect and the skin is prepared, the treatment will begin.

What is Plasma IQ?

Plasma IQ treats the delicate skin around the eyes, lips, neck, and décolletage by introducing ionized nitrogen gas to the air between the surface of the skin and the tip of the pen. This causes microinjuries to the skin, which stimulates a natural healing response. The result is an increase in the production of collagen and elastin, which will improve the appearance of skin both immediately and even more so over time.
