Simple Steps for a radiant bride

Wedding planning can be time-consuming and sometimes, emotionally draining. It’s easy to forget about self-care as you worry about tasks like finding a venue, choosing your menu, and booking a florist. It’s important, however, to carve out some time for yourself. After all, you’re the bride and deserve to have a reliable and effective wedding beauty plan. In between dress fittings and cake tastings, there are some simple cosmetic treatments that can help you to look your very best on your big day! Below, you’ll find our recommended bridal beauty regime to follow during the days leading up to your wedding.

1 Year Before the Wedding – Botox
We recommend that brides get Botox treatments two or three times before their wedding. Doing so will give you a chance to get used to the process and see how your body reacts. Botox lasts between three and four months, so we recommend your first Botox session be about one year before your wedding and your last Botox session be two or three weeks before your wedding. If you tend to bruise when you receive Botox, be sure to schedule your last session with plenty of time for your bruises to fade before the big day.

Botox can benefit brides age 25 to 75 by visibly reducing signs of aging, such as frown lines and crow’s feet. The Botox procedure is quick and simple, which makes it a great choice for a bride who is always on the run. Your doctor will simply inject your problem areas with Botox® Cosmetic which will temporarily reduce the muscle activity that causes lines. You may feel a slight pinch with each injection, but there should be no real pain.

One important safety tip to follow is to ensure that you only receive Botox from a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon. Although a range of other individuals are permitted to provide Botox treatments, they simply do not have the training and education to achieve the best possible results. When you choose CAPS for your Botox sessions, you can be sure one of our seven award-winning Plastic Surgeons will provide your treatment.

6 Months Before the Wedding – CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting is a great solution for a fit bride who needs just a little help tackling an area of stubborn fat. You may choose to begin CoolSculpting treatments anywhere between a year and six months before your wedding. To see the best results, however, your last CoolSculpting treatment should be at least three months before your wedding.

CoolSculpting is a simple, noninvasive solution for an area of stubborn fat. The process is pretty incredible: an applicator is applied to the problem area and, as the name suggests, it gets very cold. The freezing temperature essentially kills the fat cells. Then, it’s just a matter of time until your body flushes them away and you see your results.

At CAPS, we’re proud of our state-of-the-art CoolSculpting Center and our incredibly skilled and experienced CoolSculpting providers. In fact, our team includes some of the very first CoolSculpting-certified providers in central Ohio. So, you can be absolutely certain you’re in good hands when you trust us to provide your CoolSculpting treatments!

2 Weeks Before the Wedding – MicroNeedling
MicroNeedling is the perfect procedure to give yourself a beautiful wedding-day glow. We recommend having a MicroNeedling procedure two weeks before your wedding. This will give you plenty of time to heal and allow your skin to plump and be ready for wedding-day makeup.

At CAPS, we’re proud to use the Rejuvapen™ to perform our MicroNeedling treatments. This innovative tool works by creating microscopic punctures in the surface of your facial skin. These punctures trigger a healing response which results in the natural production of new collagen fibers and elastin. As a result, your face appears rejuvenated and refreshed.

After your MicroNeedling treatment, it is natural to experience some redness. For this reason, it is important to leave plenty of time to heal between your treatment and your big day. You may wish to have a MicroNeedling treatment a few months before your wedding, too, in order to gauge your personal recovery time. Typically, however, two weeks should have your skin looking flawless as you walk down the aisle.

1 Week Before the Wedding- HydraFacial MD
A HydraFacial MD treatment is the final step toward a glowing wedding-day complexion. This procedure can mitigate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, cleanse large or congested pores, treat oily or acne-prone skin, reduce hyperpigmentation, and more. This procedure is gentle, noninvasive, and can even be performed the day before your wedding. We suggest, however, that you receieve your HydraFacial MD treatment about a week before the big day, in order to flaunt the perfect wedding glow.

HydraFacials are performed in four steps and take only about forty-five minutes. First, your skin is cleansed and exfoliated. Then, a gentle acid peel is applied. When the peel has neutralized, a vortex-extraction nozzle is used to treat congested pores. Finally, a vortex-fusion tool is used to infuse a serum that is rich in antioxidants and collagen into your skin.

The result of a HydraFacial MD treatment is glowing, healthy skin. HydraFacials are quick and require absolutely no downtime, which makes it the perfect last-minute procedure for a busy bride!

It’s your Wedding Day! – Finishing Touch Protocol
The Finishing Touch Protocol is a series of cosmetics that CAPS recommends for your wedding day, honeymoon, and every day use following a treatment. These cosmetics offer protection from the sun and create a more natural look than other brands. We use these products on each of our clients after a procedure and we have seen, firsthand, that they promote long-lasting, glowing complexions. On your wedding day, you can apply your Finishing Touch Protocol as your bridal makeup and be confident that it will hold up through the ceremony, the photographs, and the long hours of dancing!
